Ouf! Ça fait drôle de fêter les 100 ans de la mort de Aurore...
L’histoire de Aurore a habité mon enfance... Elle faisait partie des histoires que ma mère nous racontait... Et elle le faisait avec un grand respect, car elle ne fait pas juste partie du folklore québécois pour nous... Elle fait partie de mon clan... Elle était la cousine de mon grand-père... Une histoire de famille... une qui ne sera pas restée un secret de famille jusqu'à la fin...
Je suis désolée pour ce qui aurait pu arriver de terrible au père et à la belle-mère dans leur vie, leur enfance, pour en arriver à agir comme ils l'ont fait avec Aurore... Pour banaliser la violence à ce point pour la faire vivre à une enfant, ils en ont forcément vécu des choses horribles en leur temps... Pour me libérer, moi et mon clan, je choisis d'arrêter de les juger et de faire la paix avec eux. Car, que je le veuille ou non, ils font partie de mon clan... Et, c'est à ce seul prix que la violence peut s'arrêter.
Aujourd’hui je tiens particulièrement à rendre hommage à mon ancêtre Aurore. Je tiens à lui dire combien je suis désolée de tout ce qu’elle à subit... Elle aura toujours une place dans mon coeur et je suis donc fière de l’héritage qu’elle a laissé derrière elle... non pas l’horreur et la violence... mais une contribution certaine de l’amélioration du sort des enfants aux Québec... et de politiques et lois mises en place...
Il reste bien du travail à faire... des histoires comme la sienne ne devraient pas exister encore aujourd’hui... et pourtant... Tu as entendu parler de l'histoire de Tililly? Elle a subi le même sort en 2019!!!
Du ménage est aussi à faire dans les organisations de protection elles-mêmes... Témoignages à l'appui.
